A THREE DAY SAFARI TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Day 1

The safari begins and ends from Kampalaor Entebbe At 8:00 am you are picked from your hotel or residence. Drive to Mbarara (283km from Kampala) via Masaka. Make a first stop over at Equator crossing for snacks and photography. Lunch break is made at Regency Hotel or Agip Motel Mbarara. After lunch, drive to Bwindi. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and birds, valleys, hills and swamps filled with papyrus. You can also spend your afternoon having a walk around the village and seeing the local communities living around the park. Dinner and over night at either the Gorilla resort Ugandasafari lodge/ Mantana Tented Camp (High end/luxurious accommodation), or Lake Kitandara Tented Camp/ Buhoma Homestead (Medium class accommodation) or the Community Banda’s (Low budget/basic accommodation).

Day 2

Have an early breakfast and get ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Tracking may take between 2 to 6 hours but its well worth the effort. Dinner and over night at either the Gorilla resort, Mantana Tented Camp (High and luxurious accommodation), or Lake Kitandara’s Tented Camp/ Buhoma Homestead (Medium class accommodation) or the Community Banda’s (Low budget/basic accommodation).

Day 3

Have an early breakfast and drive to Kampala, then Entebbe, with lunch enrooted and stop over at the drum makers arriving Kampalaearly evening.

A THREE DAY SAFARI TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

 

DAY 1

Very early in the morning, our tour guide picks from your hotel or residence, drives to Mbarara (277 Km from Kampala) westwards via Masaka. Have a brief stop over at Equator crossing for snacks and photography. Lunch break is made at Regency Lake view Hotel or Agip Motel Mbarara then proceed to the park enjoying beautiful scenery, herds of long horned Ankole cattle, and tea plantations in Ishaka, Rift valley escarpment, open grassland and woodland savanna. Evening game drive for sight seeing is much more rewarding. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge./kingfisher lodge.

DAY 2

Have an early cup of coffee, Morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast, relaxation and lunch. After lunch, a two hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is worthwhile an opportunity to see breeding Hippos, Buffalos, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also enables visitor chance to see spectacular birds such as pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork. Dinner & overnight at Mweya safari Lodge/Jacana safari lodge/kingfisher.

DAY 3

With previous day's memories, morning at leisure, get ready for guided primate walk along Kyambura Gorge to look for habituated chimps through the gorge. After primate walk, drive to Mbarara for lunch. Return to Kampala at your own convenience where you will be dropped either to your hotel/residence or airport.

THREE DAYS LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

Distance from Kampala: 230 km
Estimated travel time: 3-4 hrs.

Day 1

Early in the morning group is driven to Lake Mburo National Park via masaka road with a stop over at Mpambire to watch drums being made using old methods passed down through generations, group takes a stop at the Equator en-route for photographs. Proceeds to the park via the Nshara gate and lunch there. The afternoon is for a game drive along the lakeside track, which will enables you see water plants and animals. The Kigambira loop offers an opportunity of going through the wooded wilderness with scattered thicket- and while here look out for, Zebras, Elands, Topis, bushbucks and bush duikers. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Luxury tented Camp/ Mihingo Lodge/ Rwonyo Camp.

Day 2

After breakfast in the morning, group gets zebra and waruki tracks where harems of Burch ells zebra (EquusBurch Elli) are common along with other species like bush bucks, oribi and reedbucks. The zebra track connects the group to Ruroko track. Drive through a wetland basin and thick acacia scrub and woodland with commonly olive trees and Euphorbia species. Lunch at Ruroko kopje picnic site, then continue to Rubanga forest which offers a variety of conducive habitant for 40species of birds for example, Harrer hawk,greenpegion,Narina`s Trogon, grey backed cameroptera and double toothed barbet. Tourists also view common trees like markhamia platy calyx, sapium, Eythrina and acacia spp, olea spp and boscia spp. Have dinner and an overnight stay at mantana luxury tented camp/rwonyo camp/mihingo lodge

Day 3

After breakfast at l.mburo dinning shelter, group goes to the lake for launch cruise to enjoy the fresh air from the lake while viewing hippos, fish landing site and carry out lake side tracking. Then group drives back to mbarara highway via sanga gate, lunch there arriving Kampala late evening.

THREE DAY SAFARI TO MT. ELGON NATIONAL PARK

 

DAY 1

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you are picked from your hotel by our tour guide who drives you to the Eastern part of Uganda.Enroute to Jinja you will see Mabira forest, River Nile, Lake Victoria, tea and sugar plantations around Lugazi and Kakira. Take Tirinyi upgraded highway to reach Mbale town in one hour's time from Iganga. Lunch at Mbale Resort. Then explore the magnificent Sipi falls and adjoining areas. Have dinner and overnight at Mbale Resort (classic)/Volcano (classic)/Sipi falls rest camp (budget)/Kapkwai cottages (budget).

 

DAY 2

After breakfast with packed lunch and snacks, this day is dedicated to one day hike where the park guides)/Porter(s) are ready to take you up to the mountain using any of the selected three main trekking trails. Budadiri Forest exploration centre - Kapkwai and Kapkwata are all places you start to choose to ascend the spectacular mountain. Dinner and overnight at Mbale Resort (classic)/Volcano (classic)/Sipi falls rest camp (budget)/Kapkwai cottages (budget).

DAY 3

Begin the day with breakfast ready to drive back to Kampala. This is the time you will explore Jinja town and its major attractions like the source of River Nile, Bujagali falls, Itanda falls, Jinja Sailing club, Masese fishing village etc. Return to Kampala arriving early evening.

Note: Depending on your available number of days and budget, it is possible to extend your itinerary to cover Nyero early man rock paintings in Kumi, or One-day white water rafting, kaying and bugy jumping along River Nile with Adrift Uganda Ltd. THREE DAYS MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

 

Murchison Falls National Parkcovers an area of 3,840-sq km with altitude of 619m at the delta and 1,292 at Rabongo Hill. The mean temperature is 29 ° and 21°C-low C-high. It has recorded 76 mammal species and 450 bird species and is known to be the biggest national park in Uganda.

Day 1

Early morning after breakfast, group is picked from hotel in Kampala and drive via Bombo and Masindi town to Murchison falls National Park. Have either lunch in Masindi or a picnic lunch in Kaniyo - Pabidi forest. Proceed to kichumbanyobo gate accessing Murchison falls National Park late afternoon. Drive to the "Top of the falls" for a breathtaking sight of the raging Nile and witness it forcing its way through a rocky gap barely six meters wide, point where the Nile River detonates through a narrow gorge and cascades down to become a placid river. Have Dinner and over night at Red Chillis Camp with basic accommodation, sambiya river lodge with mid range accommodation and luxury accommodation package being at paraa safari lodge / Nilesafari camp.

Day 2

Early in the morning, go for an early morning game drive on at the Northern Bank of the Murchison falls National park to view animals unique to the African Savannah like giraffe, elephant, antelope, lion, and the Uganda Kob. Mid morning return to the lodge for breakfast, relaxation and lunch.
In the afternoon return to the Nile river for a launch cruise that leads to the Bottom of the roaring falls where huge crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds like herons, ducks, cormorants, bee-eaters, skimmers, kingfishers, fish eagle and the rare shoebill are seen. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

3 DAYS NGAMBA ISLAND

 

23 Kilometers off shore from Entebbe road, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary is on lake victoria and it is located on a beautiful forested island which is a home to approximately 40 chimpanzees rescued from poachers and other forms of private captivity.
The semi-wild environment allows for close viewing of the animals in their natural habitant.
The Sanctuary was set up by a group of concerned organizations including Uganda Wildlife Education Centre and Jane Goodall Institute among others, to offer a facility for now over 33 orphaned chimpanzees to co-habitat in a near natural environment.

Day 1
Arrival at Entebbe Airport.You will be picked by our tour guide who will give u a Short briefing on your safari and then take a boat ride off from Entebbe to Ngamba Island. Depending on time of arrival, walk to the neighboring local communities and later go for chimpanzee viewing on Ngamba islands.



Day 2
After breakfast, have a forest walk through the forest.Its a wonderful adventure with the playful primates including chimpanzees and monkeys swinging up on the trees. These creatures enjoy climbing visitors and pulling their bags, hair and walking along visitors while holding their hands. Lunch at the camp and either relax at the Lake Victoria’s shores or take a walk in the forest in search for birds, butter flies and other small insects are also present.Have dinner and Overnight at Ngamba Island Camp.

Day 3
Morning at leisure, after breakfast, you will have anature walk in the forest, have a boat transfer to Entebbe.

LONG TOURS

7DAYS GORILLA SAFARI UGANDA

This safari involves mountain gorilla trekking in Uganda,Rwanda and Congo, plus game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

DAY 1
In the morning after breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel and drive toBwindi Impenetrable National park through the scenic country sides of western Uganda, via the beautifully placed Kigezi hills with nice terraces through the “scenic little Switzerland” of Uganda with good views of this beautiful evergreen area. Lunch on the way and arrive late in the evening at Bwindi national park for dinner and overnight at Luxurious Gorilla resort camp or Buhoma Community bandas.

DAY 2
After breakfast, very early in the morning, assemble for briefing from the guides then proceed to the forest for Gorilla tracking. The time taken to encounter the gorillas is unpredictable so you are advised to carry packed lunch. On encounter of a family of gorillas, one may be forced to say that it is exhilarating!! You will be privileged to spend some time with the endangered gorillas. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

DAY 3
After your breakfast you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National park. A game drive en route through the Ishasha sector is rewarding with tree climbing lions, bush bucks, antelopes and many other animals. You will arrive for lunch at the lodge. In the after noon, you will be driven to the crater lakes region to view the various crater lakes around the park plus the lake Katwewhere salt is traditionally mined in the park.

DAY 4
Very early in the morning, you will be picked up from the lodge and taken through the Kasenyi track for a Morning game drive in search for animal like the Leopards, Lions, Elephants, Hyenas and many others return for mid morning breakfast and late afternoon go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will see schools of Hippos, Crocodiles and a variety of water birds overnight Hotel. DAY 5
Take break fast and drive to Nyakasura via fort portal town to Visit the ‘Amebere ga Nyinamwiru’ caves to view the stalactites and the stalagmite. Then proceed to Kibale National park for dinner and over night at Ndali lodge, Kanyankyu tourist centre or in Fort portal you can stay at Rwenzori view guest house.

DAY 6
After breakfast, Assemble at Kanyankyu tourist centre for a morning chimp tracking and afternoon swamp walk for a variety of primates like the Vervet Monkey, L’hoest Monkey, Black and white and the Red colobus Monkeys, Olive Baboons and many others. In the afternoon, you will be taken for a nature walk around Bigodi swamp to view the various bird species in the park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

It is an extensive National Park, protecting a large block of rainforest that offers some excellent forest for bird watching. Many of the facilities are community based, thus providing the local community with the necessary revenue to keep their interest focused on the long-term protection of the area.


Day 3
After breakfast in the morning, drive for kibale national park via kabale and lunch on the way arriving late afternoon for relaxation.Dinner and overnight at the Ndali Safari Lodge(Luxury)or the tree house at kanyankyu ecological centre(Budget).

Day 4
After early Break fast, move into the Forest, for primate viewing. The activity starts at 8.00 am in the morning. An half day search for chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-Colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest's fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters. After lunch, A visit to Bigodi swamp eco tourism site is rewarding, as you shall encounter rare and beautiful flora and fauna. Have dinner and overnight at the Ndali Safari Lodge (Luxury) or the tree house at kanyankyu ecological centre. (Budget).


Day 5

A 6DAY SAFARI QUEEN ELIZABETH-KIBALE-MURCHISIONFALLS NATIONAL PARKS

 

DAY 1
At 07hrs00, after break fast, you will leave for Queen Elizabeth National park. Take a stop over at stopping at Mpigi crafts and the Equator to take pictures and then after proceed Queen Elizabeth national park. A game drive En route a game drive in search for the unique game like the Topis, Elands, Elephants and many other animals. Have lunch at the equator, Visit the crater lakes region and then wait for dinner and over night at Mweya Safari lodge/Jacana lodge.

DAY 2
Very early go for a morning game drive to catch-up with the early risers and predators – lion, leopard, getting back to their hideouts. You will be likely to meet grazing elephants, spotted hyenas ,the elusive leopards, bushbucks, water buck and stripped jackal, and of course the several warthogs. Return to the lodge for break fast and lunch. Afternoon go for a launch cruise along the kazinga channel the waterway that joins Lake Edward to Lake George. Its banks are crammed with families of hippos, buffaloes, with elephants at the banks. Have Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

DAY 3
Drive to Kibale national park after breakfast. The drive takes you through the beautiful foot hills of the Rwenzori Mountains. Relax at the lodge as you wait for Lunch. In the Afternoon assemble at Kanyankyu tourist centre for briefing from the Ranger guides before you go for chimpanzee tracking in the Kibale tropical rain forest. Though you will be chimpanzee tracking, you will be astounded to come across more primates and mammals like the Red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, the Blue Mangabeys, Bushbucks, Warthogs, Bush pigs, Duikers, Golden cats among others, several bird species including African Pita, Warbler, and Blue headed sun bird among others. Chances of seeing chimps in this park are 95%. After, you will come across man’s closest cousins in their family playing as they move from tree to tree. Dinner and over night at Ndali Lodge/ Primates Lodge/ Rwenzori View guest house.(FB)

DAY 4
This will be a long drive but rewarding with e beautiful Scenery .Take breakfast and transfer to Murchison falls National park passing through the beautiful Albertine rift. Have lunch en route and as you approach the park you will be stopping briefly at the escarpment overlooking L. Albert. This point has the lowest Altitude 622 M (ASL). Still as you drive along Budongo forest way, you may spot Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Red Tailed and Blue Monkeys and lots of Olive Baboons may be seen. Birds like Afep Pigeons, the Nightjar, Black Billed Turacco, Great Blue and Ross’s Turaccos, Narina’s Trogon, White thigh Hornbills, African Green Pigeons and Nahan’s Francolin may also be seen. Proceed for dinner and over night at Paraa safari Lodge / Nile Safari Camp/ Sambiya River lodge/ Red Chillis Camp.

DAY 5
Early morning take a cup of coffee as you prepare for an early morning game drive in the Northern part of Murchison falls national park. In this cool morning before the sun rises too high , you will expect encounters of herds of Buffaloes, Elephants, Rothschild’s giraffe, prides of lions, the Illusive leopard, Oribis, Hartebeests, Waterbucks, Kobs, watch elephants as they graze on the grassy hillsides and many bird species like the Nightjar. Return for mid morning breakfast, relaxation and lunch. After drive along the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls, watch families of Hippos relaxing by the Nile bank, Nile crocodiles will be incubating eggs, as lots of birds stand on the backs of these mammals. You will return to your lodge for dinner and over night.

DAY 6
After break fast morning at leisure, drive back to Kampala, Lunch En route arriving early evening.

Day 1 Kampala-Kibale
Morning after breakfast, you will b picked by our tour guide and head for Kibale Forest National Park, approximately 4 hours drive via Mityana –mubende road. DAY 5 Mburo park

FISHING SAFARI 8 DAYS

350 fish species are known to exist in Uganda’s fresh waters the biggest water being Lake Victoria that is shared by Uganda, Kenyaand Tanzania. The common fish species in Ugandainclude Nile perch, Catfish and Tilapia.
The Ssese Islandson Lake Victoria, are uninhabited except by the local fishermen, and are covered in thick, tropical forest home to monkeys and birds. Fish of over 80 kg i.e. Nile perch have been caught. The main method of fishing in the lake is trolling with lures, although fly fishing has been tried as has live bait. The Tilapia of up to 5kg has been caught on bait at R.Nile below Murchison Fallsand fishing is normally with live bait. Catfish of over 50kg are often caught in these waters.

Day 1 (transfer from Airport to Hotel)

Day 2 (Kampala - Murchison Falls)
Morning after breakfast, you will drive from Kampalathrough Uganda's rolling green hills to Murchison falls National Park. Lunch at the park go fishing in the evening for three hours at murchsionfalls base therefore a relative level of fitness will be required as the decent is relatively steep. In the dramatic pools below the legendary waterfall we will be targeting the large Nile Perch which can have been caught in these waters over 100 Kilos. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge /Red chilli camp.

Day 3(all day fishing river Nile)
After breakfast, proceed to the Nile River by boat in search of Nile perch and other species several of which can be taken on a fly including the Awaka a small tiger and the Ungara. The boat trip is also excellent for game viewing as you will be fishing in one of the best game viewing areas on the Nile. Dinner and over night at Paraa Safari Lodge/Red chilli camp.

Day 4 (Fishing in Murchison Falls)
This day will be fishing the big pools below the falls with lures, live bait and flies for the large perch. Again there are other species that can provide excellent sport. We will take a picnic and plenty of cold drinks and spend the day on these magnificent pools. Dinner and over night at Paraa Safari Lodge/Red chilli camp.

Day 5 (Kampala)
Morning at leisure, after breakfast, drive to the top of the falls.Luch on the way and drive to Entebbe for over night and dinner at Botanical hotel/ Sophie’s motel.

Day 6 (Lake Victoria)
After breakfast, you will take a boat and go for fishing on Lake Victoria. Lunch at Ngamba Island and over night at G&C's tented Camp.

Day 7 (Fishing in Lake Victoria)
Spend the whole day Victoria on all the neighboring Island of Lake Victoria returning to Entebbe in the evening for over night at Botanical Hotel/Sophie’s motel.

Day 8 (Airport Transfer)
After breakfast, transfer to the Entebbe Airport to catch your flight depending on international flight departure times.

A 9 DAY RWENZORI MOUNTAIN HIKING SAFARI

 

Day 1 Kampala-Mbarara-Kasese

Arrival at Entebbeairport by morning flight. Transfer to Kasese via Mbarara for lunch at the Agip Motel Mbarara. The journey takes you along the L. Victoria on a good road to Mbarara. From here, the landscape charges to a hilly and fertile area with tea and banana plantations. Dinner and overnight at the Margarita Hotel/Rwenzori Base Camp Guest House.

Day 2, 1 Nyakalengija 1600m - Nybitaba Hut 2652m Nyabitaba hut.

From the Rwenzori Mountains National Park Head Quarter at Nyakalengija, 1.646 m, you will receive the briefing from the guides, with the possibility of hiring equipment. The hike starts through the plantations and homes of the Bakonjo, the people of the mountain, gradually reaching garden plots and elephants grass. You follow the Mobuku River, until crossing the Mahoma River. The trail passes through an open bracken fern slopes and Podorcarpus Forest, up to Nyabitaba Hut, 2.652 m, which is the arrival point for the day. This will take from 5 to 6 hours. From the location, you are facing on the North the Portal Peaks, 4.627 m. and in front Mount Kyniangoma. During the day, you might see monkeys, the Rwenzori turacoos

Day 3, 2 Nybitaba Hut 2650m - John Matte Hut 3414m

Descend the ridge to the Mubuku River then climb through bamboo forest toward John Matte Hut (3414m). The afternoon is tiring boulder hopping ascending along the north side of the Bujuku river through giant heather forest (4.1/2-5.1/2 hours).

Day 4, 3 John Matte Hut (3414m) - Bujuku Hut 3972m

Trek from John Matte Hut (3380m) to Bujuku Hut (3977m). We encounter the first of notorious bogs for which the Uganda approach to the peaks is famous. Traverse around Bigo Bog and Lake Bujuku. Look for the 'everlasting flower' known to remain on the plants for 40-years!

Day 5, 4 Bujuku Hut 3900m- Elena Hut 4541m

From Bujuku Hut you climb through moss draped groundsel vegetation, to Scott Elliot Pass, 4.372 m., between Mt. Bakerand Stanley. Here you divert to Elena Hut, 4.540 m. for spending the night before climbing Mt. Stanley.

Day 6

The Elena glacier to the Stanley Plateau where crampons may be required. Cross this in Elena Hut 4541m - Punta Margherita 5109 m. - Elena Hut 4541m- Kitandara Hut, 4.023 m. Elena Hut to Margherita peak (5109m) then down Elena Hut 4541m . Early morning traverse of a NW direction and follow the Margherita glacier to the col and to the summit (3 hours). Descend to Elena Hut and after you descend to Upper Kitandara lake and through thick mud to Lower Kitandara lake where is located Kitandara Hut, 4.023 m. Time to complete the hike about 3 hours more. From Kitandara Hut you can proceed for climbing Mount Baker or Mount Luigi di Savoia and the peak Vittorio Sella. Enjoy the view of Mt. Luigi di Savoia.

Day 7 Kitandara Hut - Guy Yeoman Hut, 3.261 m.

From Lake Kitandara you climb to Fresh field Pass, 4.282 m., a long flat of high alpine mossy glades, before descending the circuit among rocky and boggy areas. The panorama is dominated by the glaciers of Mounts Stanley and Baker and Mount of Savoy. A muddy trail leads to Akendahi, Bujongolo and Kabamba rock shelters, where starts the Kabamba valley down to Guy Yeoman Hut, 3.261 m. This can take up to 6 hours. The hut is surrounded by a beautiful landscape of mountains, vegetations and rivers.

Day 8

Guy Yeoman Hut - Nyabitaba hut. Drop very steeply alongside the Mobuku River, past Kichuchu, another rock shelter and join our original route near the confluence of the Bujuku River (3.1/2 hours).

Day 9 Nyabitaba- Nyakalengija base camp for overnight.

Nyabitaba Hut to the Nyakalengija road head (2-hours). Descend steeply off the ridge and notice enter the warm rainforest. Look for the tropical forest birds and monkeys. *Car leaves Kampala to pick Guests Drive back to Entebbe or Kampala, having lunch on the way.
Important:
Climbers must be prepared to walk for up to 8 hours every day via steep cliff and muddy paths. Climbers must bring along their own climbing gear or hire it at the base camp. Our porters carry 8 kg of personal climbing gear

Day 1 semuliki
This safari begins and ends from kampala or Entebbe at 8am, after breakfast, you are picked from your hotel and drive through fort portal Bundibugyo to reach the park. The journey offers you beautiful sceneries of the mountains of the moon and plantations, arriving time for the afternoon birding at the entrance of the park. The entrance passes through beautiful Borassus savannah and extensive grass lands that harbour bird species such as common scimitarbill, African grey hornbill, Crested francolin, Helmeted guinea fowl and many more. Day 2
Early in the morning take breakfast, and with packed lunch go for full day birding on the Kirumira trail or forest. This early morning birding rewards you with species like African scops Owl,Pearlspotted Owlet and Night jars. The Forest being a home to some of the Congo biome species this birding will also reward you with birds like, African piculet, Zenkel, Red billed, Nkurengu rail, honey guide, Black chested cuckoo, red rumped tinkerbird, Rufous sided broadbill, Green tailed bristle bill, White bellied, dwarf and Pygmy kingfishers, piping, white thighed, black and white casqued, and African pied hornbills, fire crested alethe, red bellied and blue billed malimbe, black wattled, black bill and white crested hornbill, swamp palm bulbul, forest scrub robin, Leaf love, red breasted sparrow hawk, and others. Day 3
In the morning after breakfast,with packed lunch to embark on another birding on either the main road Sempaya trail or the Kirumira trail, depending on the previous’ day results. Day 4 Sebitoli kibale
After breakfast in the morning, transfer to Kibale National park- Sebitoli birding site which is recommended as the best birding site arriving early afternoon for lunch at the park.Then embark on birding Looking out for specials like, African black duck, Joyful, cabanis, Toro olive and Cameroon sombre green buls, Brown and scaly breasted illadopsis, Green-throated Sunbird, Green-breasted Pita, African pita, -headed Sunbird, Brown-capped Weaver, Velvet-mantled Drongo, Bocage's Bush-shrike, Pink-footed Puff Back,  and many more. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge/ Kanyanchu tourist centre.

Day 5
In the morning after breakfast go for guided birding in the Kanyanchu area where you will watch out for birds like the African go-shwak, the majestic crowned eagle, masked apalis, grey parrots and many more. Picnic lunch in the forest and the afternoon head to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary through the magombe swamp to see birds such as papyrus Gonolek, papyrus canary, mosque swallow and brown headed Tchagra. Return to Ndali lodge / Kanyanchu for dinner and overnight.


Day 6 bwindi

Early in the morning,after breakfast,drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, watch out for birds and game enroute reaching late afternoon.Have lunch at the park,then go birding Buhoma area. Dinner and overnight Gorilla forest camp/ Buhoma community Bandas.


Day 7

Very early after breakfast move into the forest on the water fall trail for birding. Look out for birds such as Kivu ground thrush, Mountain Buzzard, Cinnamon-chested Bee-eater,  Barred Long-tailed Cuckoo, Mackinnon's Fiscal, Sooty Boubou, African Hill-Babbler, Dusky Tit, Ashy Flycatcher, Dusky-blue Flycatcher,  Doherty's Bush-shrike, Black-and-white Shrike-flycatcher,  Chin-spot Batis, Rwenzori Batis,  Ayre's Hawk-eagle, white bellied Robin-chat and slender billed starling moving along the main track as you descend to the camp for lunch. In the afternoon move along the long trail to bwindi for more birding. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest Camp/ Buhoma community Banda.


Day 8- Buhoma
Early in the morning go for birding on the longtrail to Mubwindi and also the short trail in the afternoon. Watchout for birds like the Montane Oriole, Waller’s starling, Blacke –billed turacos, barbets, Carruthers’ Cisticola Red chested Flufftail,Cabanis’s Green bull, Dwarf Honey guide, Oriole Finch and Bar tailed trogon. This bird search offers you an opportunity to view for gorillas too. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest Camp/ Buhoma community Banda.


Day 9 Ruhiija.

At sunset,go birding in the ruhija area and watchout for birds like the Red-tailed and Shelley's Greenbul, Grey-throated Barbet, Common Buzzard, Black Bee-eater and Cinnamon-chested Bee-eater, Red-throated Alethe, African Shrike-flycatcher Ayres's Hawk-eagle,  and many more. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest Camp/ Buhoma community Banda.

Day 10 Lake Mburo NP
After breakfast in the morning, drive towards Lake Mburo NP via Kabale. Lunch in mbarara ,then proceed to mburo national park and Bird along the entrance road to Rwonyo in the late afternoon to watch out for acacia associated bird species like mosque swallow, black bellied bustard and Rupell’s long-tailed starling.Have over night at Rwonyo Rest Camp/ Mantana Tented camp.


Day 11

Morning after break fast, drive along the lake side track and Kigambira loop towards Kampala, Watch out for birds like Green-capped Eremomela, Austral migrant, black cuckoo-shrike Tawny, African Hawk, Batelour and others enroute. GORILLA TOUR 4 DAYS

DAY 1 (transfer to Lake Mburo National Park)
Morning after breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel by our Tour Guide who will transfer you to Lake mburo National park, having a stop over at the Equator for photographs and snacks. Arrive at the Park for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon enjoy a boat ride in Lake Mburoamidst Hippos, Crocodiles herons, bird species like African King Fisher, Fish Eagles, Pelicans, and Crested Cranes. Overnight at Rwonyo camp/Mantana tented camp.

DAY 2 (Lake Mburo NP - Bwindi NP)
Early morning after breakfast, go for a game drive with chances of seeing Warthogs, Elands, Uganda kob, Buffaloes and many birds’ species. Drive to Lake View Hotel Mbarara for Lunch and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the terraced hills of Kabale.Overnight at Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Community Bandas.

DAY 3 (Gorilla trekking Bwindi Forest)
Take a cup of tea very early in the morning and report to the ranger station for registration and instructions on how to trek the gorillas in the jungle. With walking sticks make your way through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track the gorillas as guided by the game ranger. For about 5 hours, Sit in the forest among the gorillas listening to them grumble to each other and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male; the silverback. A lot of energy is needed for this activity.

Optional activity: In the evening take a guided walk on theMunyaga River trail that leads to three delightful crystal clear waterfalls to see butterflies, birds and primates from the forest edge. Overnight at Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Community Bandas.

DAY 4 (Return to Kampala)
Morning at leisure after breakfast, breakfast drive to Kampala and lunch in Mbarara town arriving late evening for dinner and overnight at Hotel Africana.

7DAYS GORILLA SAFARI UGANDA

This safari involves mountain gorilla trekking in Uganda,Rwanda and Congo, plus game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

DAY 1
In the morning after breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National park through the scenic country sides of western Uganda, via the beautifully placed Kigezi hills with nice terraces through the “scenic little Switzerland” of Uganda with good views of this beautiful evergreen area. Lunch on the way and arrive late in the evening at Bwindi national park for dinner and overnight at Luxurious Gorilla resort camp or Buhoma Community bandas.

DAY 2
After breakfast, very early in the morning, assemble for briefing from the guides then proceed to the forest for Gorilla tracking. The time taken to encounter the gorillas is unpredictable so you are advised to carry packed lunch. On encounter of a family of gorillas, one may be forced to say that it is exhilarating!! You will be privileged to spend some time with the endangered gorillas. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

DAY 3
After your breakfast you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National park. A game drive en route through the Ishasha sector is rewarding with tree climbing lions, bush bucks, antelopes and many other animals. You will arrive for lunch at the lodge. In the after noon, you will be driven to the crater lakes region to view the various crater lakes around the park plus the lake Katwewhere salt is traditionally mined in the park.

DAY 4
Very early in the morning, you will be picked up from the lodge and taken through the Kasenyi track for a Morning game drive in search for animal like the Leopards, Lions, Elephants, Hyenas and many others return for mid morning breakfast and late afternoon go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will see schools of Hippos, Crocodiles and a variety of water birds overnight Hotel. FB.

DAY 5
Take break fast and drive to Nyakasura via fort portal town to Visit the ‘Amebere ga Nyinamwiru’ caves to view the stalactites and the stalagmite. Then proceed to Kibale National park for dinner and over night at Ndali lodge, Kanyankyu tourist centre or in Fort portal you can stay at Rwenzori view guest house.

DAY 6
After breakfast, Assemble at Kanyankyu tourist centre for a morning chimp tracking and afternoon swamp walk for a variety of primates like the Vervet Monkey, L’hoest Monkey, Black and white and the Red colobus Monkeys, Olive Baboons and many others. In the afternoon, you will be taken for a nature walk around Bigodi swamp to view the various bird species in the park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 1(Air port transfer to Kampala)
On arrival at Entebbe Air port, our Tour guide will transfer you from Entebbe to Grand Imperial Hotel/Namirembe Guest House for relaxation, dinner and over night stay.

Day 2 (Kampala – Bwindi NP)
After break fast early in the morning, our Tour guide will drive to Bwindi National Parkin western Uganda. Take a stop over at the equator for photographs, lunch in Mbarara town, then proceed to Bwindi arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort/ Buhoma community bandas.

Day 3 (Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi jungle)
There is an early morning entry into the forest after breakfast and briefing on how to behave and handle these gentle giants. The rain forest offers spectacular, dramatic, heavily forested and dense landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access for tourists. Given the fact that gorilla tracking is unpredictable, it is difficult to foresee how many hours you will actually hike. The escapade of tracking the gorillas in the superb ecosystem of the park will be passionate for the adventurers. It may take 2hrs up to 8 hours or more and you should be prepared to a walk long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. Day 4 (transfer to Rwanda)
After breakfast fast, drive to Kisoro and cross Katuna border to Ruhengeri in Rwanda. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla Nest/Kinigi Guest House.

Day 5 (Gorilla Tracking in Pac De Volcanoes)
After early morning breakfast and briefing from the authorities of the park. with packed lunch and water set off for the trekking into the rain tropical forest searching for the habituated Mountain gorilla family. You remain close to the beautiful primates for over one hour, for observation and photography. In the evening return to Ugandafor dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Overland camp/Arcadia cottages.

Day 6 (visit Lake Bunyonyi)
In the morning, have a sumptuous breakfast at leisure and cherish some relaxing moments on the shores of this peaceful lake. Tourists will choose among the various tour activities. They can choose to go birding, cycling, and sun bathing, swimming or even canoeing. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages/ Bunyonyi Overland camp.

Day 7 (return to Kampala)
Morning at leisure, return to Kampalalunching on the way. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight.
