Fitness is essential for the trek because lower oxygen levels as you ascend the mountain impact you negatively.

Your ability to endure with less oxygen will increase as your fitness level increases during the hike.

The difficulty of your trek will also depend on what time of the year you hike especially novice hikers.

Note that both dry and rainy seasons are the best time to do 1 Day Bisoke hike and these include,

From June to mid-September, there is a long dry season, while from December to February, there is a brief dry season.
