Situated in the South Western Uganda with in the Kabale District, Lake Bunyonyi is the 2nd deepest Lake in Africa with 44m (Ft), 900m (2,952Ft). The Lake stands at 1,962 m (6,437 ft) above sea level, 25 km (15.5 mi) long and 7 km (1.35 mi) wide. The depth of the lake is expected to vary between 44 m (144 Ft.) and 900 m (2,952 ft).

Batwas/Pygimies and Bakiga
The Islands of this Lake are occupied by Bakiga and Batwa tribes that act as Tourist attractions. The Batwa people are indigenous inhabitants of Uganda and their heritage is rich and worth exploring. Though they were evicted from their homes – forests, the Batwa still posses the last of their fading culture.
