Day 2: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Kisoro near Mgahinga national park
Early morning after breakfast, with packed lunch, you will assemble at UWA’s office for briefing and registration. You will then enter the jungle to trek mountain gorillas. The trekking exercise will take 2-6 hours depending on the gorilla group you will be assigned to. Dinner and overnight at Mount Gahinga lodge (luxury), Traveller’s Rest Hotel Kisoro/ Lake Mulehe lodge/ Mucha lodge (Mid-range), Kisoro back packers/ Kisoro Virunga hotel (budget)
Day 3: Golden monkey tracking or Volcano hike Sabyinyo/ Gahinga / Muhabura
After breakfast, you will go for either Golden monkey tracking or for a volcano hike. Time to take is 7-9 hours hike round trip depending on the volcano you will hike. Return for Dinner and overnight at Mount Gahinga lodge (luxury), Traveller’s Rest Hotel Kisoro/ Lake Mulehe lodge/ Mucha lodge (Mid-range), Kisoro back packers/ Kisoro Virunga hotel (budget)
Day 4: Cross back to Rwanda and connect to Kigali Airport for your departure flight
