DAY 1 –  Pick Up from Entebbe Airport or Kampala to  Bwindi Forest National Park

Uganda Primate Safari Join this Uganda Tour to see Primates in Uganda which includes Gorilla Watching and Tracking Chimpanzees in their natural habitat. The Safari passes via Bwindi Forest Gorilla National Park and ends in Kibale Forest beginning and ends in either Kampala or Entebbe Uganda.

At 8:00 am you are picked from your hotel or residence to set off for your Uganda Primate safari Bwindi. Drive to Mbarara (283km from Kampala) via Masaka. Make a first stop over at Equator crossing for snacks and photography. Lunch break is made at Regency Hotel or Agip Motel Mbarara.

After lunch, drive to Bwindi. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and birds, valleys, hills and swamps filled with papyrus. You can also spend your afternoon having a walk around the village and seeing the local communities living around the park.

Dinner and over night at either the Gorilla resort Uganda safari lodge/ Mantana Tented Camp (High end/luxurious accommodation), or Lake Kitandara Tented Camp/ Buhoma Homestead (Medium class accommodation) or the Community Banda’s (Low budget/basic accommodation).

Day 2 – Bwindi Forest Or Uganda Primate Safari

Bwindi ForestHave an early breakfast and get ready for Uganda Primate Safari  with in Bwindi Forest for Gorilla trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff.

Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for.

Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla in Bwindi Forest, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Tracking may take between 2 to 6 hours but its well worth the effort.

Dinner and over night at either the Gorilla resort, Mantana Tented Camp (High and luxurious accommodation), or Lake Kitandara’s Tented Camp/ Buhoma Homestead (Medium class accommodation) or the Community Banda’s (Low budget/basic accommodation). Kibale National Park harbours the greatest variety and concentration of primates found anywhere in East Africa.

It is an extensive National Park, protecting a large block of rain forest that offers some excellent forest for bird watching. Birds and primates combined with easy access, a good infrastructure and a variety of interesting Activities make this forest ideal for primate watching safaris to Uganda.

Many of the facilities are community based, thus providing the local community with the necessary revenue to keep their interest focused on the long-term protection of the area.

Day 3 – Drive to Kibale Forest

After breakfast in the morning, extend your Uganda Primate Safari Bwindi Forest to Kibale Forest via Kabale road and lunch on the way arriving late afternoon for relaxation. Dinner and overnight at the Ndali Safari Lodge(Luxury)or the tree house at kanyankyu ecological center(Budget).

Day 4 – Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

After early Break fast, move into the Forest for primate viewing or Chimpanzee Tracking. The activity starts at 8.00 am in the morning. An half day search for chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-Colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects.

The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters.

After lunch, A visit to Bigodi swamp eco tourism site is rewarding, as you shall encounter rare and beautiful flora and fauna. Have dinner and overnight at the Ndali Safari Lodge (Luxury) or the tree house at kanyankyu ecological centre. (Budget).

Day 5 – Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe

Morning at leisure, after breakfast, drive back to Kampala via fort portal. Lunch en route arriving early evening. End the Uganda Primate Safari Bwindi Forest with Dinner and overnight at hotel Africana

Day 6 – Transfer to Entebbe Airport for your departure flight

Our driver will transfer you to the airport for your departure after your Uganda Primate Safari Bwindi Forest.

Kibale Forest

Uganda Primate Safari in Bwindi Forest and Kibale Forest includes:
