Kibale Forest Chimpanzee Tracking and Chimpanzee Habituation Experience
During Chimpanzee Habituation Experience exercise in Kibale Forest Park Uganda, Tourists join Game rangers to look for wild Chimpanzees.
Some times Tourists join Wild life Researchers and spend a whole day observing their daily routine as they get used to human beings.
Not that normal Chimpanzee Tracking takes 2-4 hours where as CHEX takes 4 – 7 hours of searching the Chimpanzees.
Kibale Forest is a primate Park which has got the richest ecosystems within the whole of Africa continent.
The forest homes over 340 birds species, fourteen species of snakes, twenty seven species of frogs and toads.
It has a minimum of twenty species of alternative reptiles and a minimum of two hundred species of butterflies.
More so, alternative animals present here include: Pan troglodytes, elephant, bush pig, big forest hog, crackers and rodents

The park hosts a population of over 1,000 chimpanzees, of which one 80-strong community has been habituated to traveler visits, yet as half-a-dozen promptly determined monkey species.
It has the athletic red Columbus monkey and black-and-white Columbus monkey as well and the handsome L’Hoest’s monkey.
There two tribes that occupy this area and these include; Batooro and Bakiga. Traditionally both tribes use the forest for food, fuel, building materials and medicines.
Tourist Activities in Kibale Forest National Park
The main activities in Kibale forest include the following;
Chimpanzee Tracking, and chimpanzee permits booking goes through a fully registered Tour company in Uganda.
Chimpanzee Tracking permit costs 200USD only for Foreign non residents whereas 150USD for Foreign residents.
Another activity is CHEX- Chimpanzee Habituation Experience which is either Half day or full day
Bird watching activity exciting, different bird species can viewed in the forest along a variety of butterflies.
More so is Bigodi swamp nature walk or a community walk. It is normally happens in the evening and guests get a chance to see different wild life.
